The St. Louis Senior Center, founded in 1954, is the
second oldest senior activity center in the United States.
Programs reflect the interest, needs and concerns of the
participants. Services include congregate meals, home
delivered meals, transportation, exercise classes, health
screenings, crafts, dances, games, library, computer
classes, holiday and birthday celebrations, trips,
information and referral services, tax assistance and
entertainment.
You may have certain elements of life already in place.
There's something to be said for the reliability of a good
routine. However, the MacArthur Foundation's Successful
Aging Study indicates that 70 percent of how we age is
influenced by our lifestyle choices. Genes determine the
remaining 30 percent. Keeping the brain and body vibrant
through fresh associations and new activities is something
we all can control. Many seniors don't actually consider
themselves to be "senior" enough to go to a senior center.
Stop by and tour our center. We're sure you'll be
surprised by all of the activities and friends that are waiting
to meet you.
Winter, Spring Summer, or Fall
The St. Louis Senior Center has it all.
